Period delay service offered by us is a private service (fees apply), which allows women to buy norethisterone tablets, a prescription-only medication without seeing a doctor. This service is offered to women who wish to delay their period due to a particular situation, for example, holidays, exams, weddings and other events.
What is the minimum age for period delay service?
Women who want to use period delay service must be at least 16 years of age.
Can any women use period delay service?
Certain women may not use period delay service. For example, breastfeeding patients, women who are pregnant or suspect to be pregnant, women with certain health conditions or women taking specific drugs. A full list of conditions and drugs is provided with the assessment form, which needs to be completed in person or online before your visit to Milton Road Pharmacy.
What medication is supplied to delay the period?
Norethisterone 5mg tablets or Utovlan tablets (brand of norethisterone tablets) are supplied as a part of our period delay service.
What is the price of period delay service in Cambridge’s Milton Road Pharmacy?
We offer competitive prices for our period delay service in Cambridge. The price depends on the number of tablets purchased:
- A pack of 30 norethisterone tablets cost £16. One pack of 30 tables delay period for up to 7 days.
- Two packs containing 60 norethisterone tablets cost £26. 60 tablets can delay period for up to 17 days.
How many norethisterone tablets can you buy?
A maximum of 60 tablets can be purchased when using our service.
How is norethisterone taken for period prevention?
One norethisterone 5mg tablet is taken three times a day, starting three days before the expected onset of menstruation. Menstruation usually starts three days after finishing the course of norethisterone.
How long can you use norethisterone?
Norethisterone tablets can be used to delay the period for up to 14 days in any given six months (start 3 days before onset + 14 days of treatment).
